Balad Beast, a new two-day music and arts festival, will take place in Jeddah’s Old Town, also known as Al-Balad, on the 9th and 10th of December, the Saudi Arabian music and entertainment business MDLBEAST said on Tuesday.
More than 70 international and local musicians from the genres of hip-hop, EDM, house, and techno will play on five distinct stages throughout the event, which is set against the historic background of the neighborhood’s traditional architecture, which is also a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Additionally, the festival’s planners promised a distinctive lighting and picture projection system that would revive Al-historically Balad’s significant surroundings.
“It will be a delight and an honor to present Balad Beast,” said Ramadan Alharatani, CEO of MDLBEAST. “We are aware of the significance and history of Jeddah’s Old Town, and we take our duty to make sure Balad Beast sheds fresh light on it and draws attention to its beauty seriously.”
