The Middle East Film & Comic Con (MEFCC) 2026 will take place from 11 to 13 September at the ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi. Organizers moved the event from its original April dates to deliver a larger experience for fans and exhibitors. As the region’s biggest pop culture festival, MEFCC will once again bring together global entertainment brands, celebrities, artists, gamers, and cosplay enthusiasts under one roof.
The three-day event will run from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM on Friday and 12:00 PM to 11:00 PM on both Saturday and Sunday. Meanwhile, standard tickets are on sale, while VIP passes have already sold out due to strong demand. Organizers expect another high turnout after more than 46,000 visitors attended the 2025 edition.
Celebrity guests, gaming, and cosplay take center stage
MEFCC 2026 will feature celebrity appearances from film, television, anime, and gaming. In addition, visitors can enjoy autograph sessions, photo opportunities, live panel discussions, and exclusive stage presentations throughout the weekend. Organizers have already confirmed actor Mackenyu as part of the guest lineup, with more announcements expected before the event.
The convention will also include dedicated zones for anime, manga, comics, trading card games, tabletop gaming, esports, and collectibles. Furthermore, Artist Alley will showcase local and international creators, while exhibitors will present exclusive merchandise, limited-edition collectibles, and new releases. Cosplay Central will host costume competitions and fan activities, continuing one of MEFCC’s most popular traditions.

MEFCC has grown into the Middle East’s leading destination for pop culture since its launch in 2012. Consequently, the event attracts fans, content creators, publishers, gaming companies, and entertainment brands from around the world. This year’s edition will again feature a short film competition, community workshops, and interactive experiences across multiple themed zones.
