National Bank of Fujairah has announced an open call for NBF ART 2025–26, marking the fifth edition of its national art initiative. The programme invites emerging and established artists based in the UAE to participate, while continuing to position the platform within the bank’s broader sustainability and social engagement strategy. Over time, the initiative has evolved into a recognised channel for creative expression and cultural dialogue across the country.

Theme Aligns With National Priorities

The 2025–26 theme, We Belong Here, focuses on belonging as a shared human experience shaped by diversity. In particular, it emphasizes individuality, multiple narratives, and coexistence within the UAE’s social fabric. Moreover, the theme aligns with the UAE’s designation of 2026 as the Year of the Family, which highlights unity, connection, and community strength. As a result, artists are encouraged to explore identity, empathy, and collective experience without prescribed formats or narratives.

A respected judging panel will oversee the selection process, supported by Patricia Millns FRSA, Artist and Advisor in the Creative Industries, who provides guidance on artistic direction. The panel includes Khalil Abdul Wahid, Director of the Fine Arts Department at Dubai Culture and Arts Authority; Mara Firetti, Founder of Firetti Contemporary; and Sumayyah Al Suwaidi, Art Curator. In addition, Talkative with Ahmed joins as Engagement and Broadcast Partner to expand public reach and dialogue.

Participation, Prizes, and Timeline

Shortlisted artists will be featured in the annual NBF ART exhibition, while selected works will gain broader visibility through the programme. Adnan Anwar, CEO of NBF, commented: “NBF ART has grown year after year into a meaningful platform that brings people together through creativity, dialogue, and shared purpose. Its continued success reflects our commitment to supporting initiatives that contribute to societal progress and align with our long-term sustainability agenda.

“This year’s theme echoes the UAE’s vision of unity, inclusivity, and cultural openness—values championed by our leadership as foundations for a thriving and cohesive society. It celebrates individuality and collective identity, inviting artists to share their unique stories in ways that resonate with their own experiences.

“We look forward to the diverse artistic voices that will come forward, contributing to a more conscious, connected, and inspired future for our community and the nation.”

Prizes include AED 10,000 for first place, AED 5,000 for second place, and AED 3,000 for third place. Additionally, the top three winners will receive one-on-one mentoring sessions with the judging panel, while the top ten creatives will receive judge-endorsed certificates.

The open call is available to UAE-based artists aged 18 and above, across all mediums. Submissions close on January 30, 2026, with winners announced in May 2026. Submissions must be uploaded via the official NBF ART website.
