New Year’s Fireworks – As the world rings in New Year 2020, Dubai’s iconic Burj Khalifa will once again be the focal point of the city’s grand celebrations, featuring a spectacular fireworks display that promises to light up the night sky. Celebrations will complement this renowned event at several other prominent locations across the city.
In an exciting development, the Dubai Frame will host its first-ever New Year’s fireworks show, adding a fresh element to the city’s festivities. Meanwhile, the Palm Jumeirah, Global Village, and Marjan Island in Ras Al Khaimah will also light up with fireworks displays.
Ras Al Khaimah is preparing for an extraordinary New Year’s Eve with two major firework shows aimed at achieving a new Guinness World Record.
The #RAKNYE2020 event is set to surpass previous record-breaking firework displays in the emirate. Attendees can expect a breathtaking combination of pyrotechnics, laser shows, and fireworks that will create an unforgettable experience.
To accommodate the anticipated large crowds, Ras Al Khaimah authorities are expanding public viewing areas along Al Marjan Island, the central venue for the New Year’s Eve celebrations, and in Al Hamra. Additionally, the organizers will provide more than 20,000 parking spaces to ensure smooth access for all visitors.
This year’s fireworks will feature cutting-edge innovations, including pyro-drones that will create a stunning visual display. The drones will start with the countdown to the New Year and will later recreate key landmarks in the emirate using laser technology and pyrotechnics. The grand finale will showcase a bid for a Guinness World Record. For the first time in the region, the display will also include Japanese aerial shell fireworks, adding a unique and dazzling touch to the festivities.
