Nike Basketball is gearing up for the arrival of the Nike Book 2, the second signature sneaker for Devin Booker, set to release early next year alongside a premium apparel collection. Working closely with Nike designers, Booker shaped the model as a modern classic that blends performance comfort with a sleek, low-profile aesthetic. The overall inspiration pulls from vintage cars, skateboarding culture and iconic Nike sportswear, which gives the shoe a refined yet familiar feel.
Moreover, the design places a strong emphasis on maximizing court feel. This comes through a forefoot Air Zoom unit, a Cushlon 3.0 midsole and a foam sock liner. Booker has often said that his preference for staying closer to the floor stems from classics like the Air Zoom Spiridon. The outsole, meanwhile, adds durability and subtly references the Air Force 1 while introducing a new sun-dappled herringbone traction pattern. Not only does this detail pay tribute to Phoenix, but it also supports sharper movement on the court. The debut “Phoenix” and “Rising” colourway leans into this theme further, pairing orange and black as a nod to Booker’s eleven seasons in the Arizona desert.
Apparel Collection Complements the Sneaker Line
Alongside the footwear, the Book 2 apparel range introduces heavyweight pieces that carry a sun-faded finish. This treatment mirrors the desert-inspired storytelling and translates Booker’s polished personal style from pre-game tunnel moments to everyday wear. As a result, the collection creates a cohesive extension of the sneaker’s identity.
Release Details
The Nike Book 2 footwear and apparel collection is scheduled to launch in January 2026 through Nike’s website and select retailers. Fans can expect additional imagery and details as the release window approaches.
