Nike has unveiled the Vomero Plus Low “Doernbecher,” designed by 14-year-old patient Molly Bell as part of the Freestyle 21 collection. The sneaker draws inspiration from Molly’s passion for nature and her ambition to become a field biologist. Featuring earth tones and floral accents, the design reflects her love for the outdoors while giving wearers a glimpse into her personal story.
The upper uses green mesh, embroidered with the purple camas flower, native to Molly’s home state of Oregon. Nature motifs continue with an animal-inspired brown graphic on the tongue, a camas flower alongside Molly’s name on the insoles, and deer hoof prints on the forefoot outsole. These details highlight her connection to wildlife and the environment.
Design Details and Features
Each pair of the Vomero Plus Low includes a field notes booklet and a magnifying glass. These accessories encourage wearers to explore and document nature, just as Molly does in her daily life. The design integrates playful and functional elements, blending creativity with outdoor exploration in a thoughtful, wearable format.
