Andrea Orr Clague was traditionally trained at Pensacola Christian College and graduated with a Master of Fine Arts degree in 2009. She is a member of the Oil Painters of America and the Missouri Valley Impressionist Society. She was selected for Southwest Art Magazine’s annual “21 Under 31” feature, and her artwork was displayed on the issue’s cover.
“My work reveals her fascination with light and the elusive beauty it bestows upon seemingly ordinary objects” says Andrea. Andrea is thankful for the ability to paint and counts it a gift from her Heavenly Father. “As I develop my art, I aspire to glorify God and draw others to see His goodness and the wonder of his love” says Andrea.
Andrea’s work has received many awards including Grand Prize at the 2012 Scottsdale Salon at the Legacy Gallery in Scottsdale, Arizona. Her paintings have been displayed in various venues, including the Butler Institute of American Art in Youngstown, OH, the Albrecht Kemper Museum in St. Joseph, MO, and the Moscow Manege.
