The Palestinian National Day celebration at Expo 2020 Dubai showcased the region’s glories, making it a proud moment for Palestine on a global stage. Palestine’s rich culture and legacy were presented in front of the world on the celebration platform. The Al Wasl Plaza was enveloped by a series of festivities, which began with a flag-raising ceremony.
Asayel band of folk art performed at the occasion, which included a concert. The band, which was founded in 1994 in Ramallah and now boasts over 100 dancers and singers, has become one of the most well-known in the region. Singers Tony Qattan and Manal Mousa also performed during the event.
Following that was a speech by Najeeb Al Ali, executive director of the Expo 2020 Bureau, and Khaled Al Osaili, Palestine’s Minister of Economy.”We express our deepest appreciation and thanks for the efforts made by the United Arab Emirates, in particular the Emirate of Dubai and those in charge of managing Expo in establishing this World Expo,” stated Khaled Osaily, Minister of National Economy for the State of Palestine, during the occasion.
“The pavilion also highlights the commercial potential and recent advancements in a variety of sectors, as well as Palestine’s products, such as textiles, olive tree wood, cement, culinary products, and more.” The exhibits also highlight the enormous diversity and development made in education, arts, culture, innovation, and technology,” stated Najeeb Al Ali.
The Palestine Pavilion, located in the Opportunity District, honors the country’s history while also highlighting its burgeoning tourism industry and bustling manufacturing sector. Palestine continues its efforts to familiarize the world with its past and identity by participating in the Expo.
