Panerai introduces the Radiomir 8 Giorni PAM02088, a striking 300-piece limited edition timepiece designed to honor the Lunar New Year. The model pays homage to the Maison’s legendary Ref. 3646, reimagining its distinctive California dial with a cultural twist that fuses East and West.
Traditionally known for its split layout of Roman and Arabic numerals, the California dial is here reinvented with Roman numerals at 10, 11, 1, and 2, while Chinese numerals replace the usual Arabic markers at 4, 5, 7, and 8 — creating a captivating half-Chinese, half-Roman configuration. The black-to-anthracite gradient dial is complemented by burnished blue steel hands, achieved through a meticulous oxidation process, while beige Super-LumiNova® X1 enhances visibility in low light.
At its core, the watch is powered by the P.5000 caliber, a hand-wound mechanical movement that delivers an eight-day power reserve — a signature feature of Panerai since the 1950s. The movement, visible through a sapphire crystal case back, showcases robust engineering, including a full bridge that supports the balance wheel for superior stability and precision.
The 45mm cushion-shaped case is crafted from Brunito Stainless Steel 1.4441 LVM, distinguished by a hand-applied finish that selectively brushes away a black PVD layer to create a unique, weathered patina. A dark green calfskin strap, complemented by a matching Brunito steel buckle, completes the vintage-inspired yet contemporary design.
Limited to just 300 units, the Radiomir 8 Giorni PAM02088 will debut in mainland China later this month, followed by availability in Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Singapore in December. A subsequent release in the United States, United Kingdom, Switzerland, and the Middle East is scheduled for January 2026.
