Pharrell Williams has officially launched VIRGINIA, a new creative platform that blends music, fashion, design, and community. VIRGINIA serves as both a personal creative alias and a space for Pharrell’s expansive array of future projects, including live events, limited-edition merchandise, new music, and exclusive collaborations.
A New Hub for Creative Expression
VIRGINIA is described as a “destination” where fans and creatives can engage with Pharrell’s artistic vision. It’s not just a brand; it’s a pseudonym and a playground for experimentation and storytelling, offering direct connection with the community. Pharrell himself described it as a space where he can dream and connect with others who share his creative vision.
VIRGINIA’s First Merchandise Drop
To kick off the launch, Pharrell has unveiled VIRGINIA’s first collection of limited-edition merchandise. The collection includes logo apparel, swimwear, beach gear, surfboards, accessories, and home items. Fans can explore and purchase these items on Blackyachtrock.com, the dedicated platform for all things VIRGINIA. The site’s opening features a takeover by Virginia-based artist Sam Clayman and includes an interactive virtual karaoke game.
VIRGINIA’s First Musical Project
In addition to fashion and design, Pharrell has designated his 2024 album, BLACK YACHT ROCK VOL 1 CITY OF LIMITLESS ACCESS, as the first official musical release under the VIRGINIA banner. The album introduces a genre Pharrell has coined as “Black yacht rock”, a reinterpretation of the sound through the lens of Black musicality and personal memory.
New adidas Collaboration: Adistar Jellyfish
To round out the debut, Pharrell’s latest design for adidas, the Adistar Jellyfish, will be available for purchase exclusively on VIRGINIA’s platform. This release comes ahead of its global launch at the end of August 2025.
