Porsche has hinted at the return of its legendary GT2 RS while confirming the development of a brand-new SUV. Both models could hit the market before the decade’s end.

GT2 RS: A Comeback for Porsche’s Most Powerful 911?
In its latest financial report, Porsche teased “high-yield and exciting limited-edition models,” fueling speculation about the GT2 RS’s return. The last iteration, from the 991.2 generation, packed 700 horsepower and 553 lb-ft of torque, making it the most powerful 911 to date.
If revived, the GT2 RS will likely follow its traditional formula—rear-wheel drive, an upgraded 911 Turbo base, and aggressive aerodynamics. While Porsche has not provided an exact timeline, the model could launch as early as 2026 or 2027.
A New SUV Joins Porsche’s Expanding Lineup
Alongside the GT2 RS news, Porsche confirmed plans for a new gas-powered SUV. Unlike the upcoming all-electric Macan, this model will offer both combustion and hybrid options. It aims to blend high performance with Porsche’s signature driving dynamics, marking a strategic addition to the brand’s growing SUV portfolio.
Expected toward the decade’s end, the SUV will complement Porsche’s evolving lineup while leveraging advancements from existing models.
