Porsche has unveiled the 911 Spirit 70, a hybrid cabriolet that pays homage to the iconic designs of the 1970s and early 1980s. This model, revealed at the Shanghai Auto Show, is limited to 1,500 units worldwide. It builds on the popular 911 Carrera GTS Cabriolet, combining heritage styling with modern performance.
Retro Aesthetics with Modern Power
The 911 Spirit 70 features a 3.6-litre boxer engine with hybrid assistance, generating 541 horsepower and 450 lb-ft of torque. The car is finished in bold Olive Neo paint, complemented by Bronzite accents and a black soft top. Its design includes silk-gloss black racing stripes, gold-plated badging, and a 1963-style Porsche crest, all enhancing the vintage appeal.
Interior Inspired by Porsche’s Legacy
Inside, the 911 Spirit 70 mixes retro charm with modern luxury. The Pasha pattern upholstery, in black and olive, is paired with club leather in basalt black. Additionally, contrast stitching adds a refined touch. The digital instrument cluster cleverly mimics analog dials, featuring green numerals and white needles. It strikes the perfect balance between nostalgia and cutting-edge technology.
Personalization and Modern Technology
Porsche offers extensive customization through the Exclusive Manufaktur program, allowing buyers to personalize their vehicle. They can also explore their ideal configuration using the Apple Vision Pro app. To complete the package, Porsche includes a matching chronograph and lifestyle collection that further enhances the car’s design theme.
The 911 Spirit 70 marks Porsche’s third model in the Heritage Design series. It combines retro style with contemporary performance. Deliveries will begin in Europe in April 2025, with other markets to follow shortly after.
