Qatar Tourism has announced the introduction of new superyacht luxury cruises from Doha in January 2023, in collaboration with Emerald Cruises.
Emerald Azzurra will offer seven-night, eight-day cruises from Doha to Abu Dhabi, Oman, and Dubai, with stops in Sir Bani Yas Island, Abu Dhabi; Khasab, Oman; Fujairah, UAE; Zighy Bay, Oman; and Dubai.
Pre- and post-cruise tours are available, with a three-day package available to discover Qatar’s sights and culture. The National Museum of Qatar, created by French architect Jean Nouvel in the shape of a desert rose, is a must-see, as is a visit to Souq Waqif, where you can buy local handicrafts and spices. Visitors can go dune bashing and eat a meal before taking a drive into the desert to see the Inland Sea.
The announcement comes as work on the new Grand Cruise Terminal in central Doha, near the Museum of Islamic Art and Souq Waqif, continues. The terminal will be able to accommodate two mega ships and will include a variety of attractions such as an aquarium and an art gallery.
Pre and post cruise, passengers may enjoy an astonishing selection of hotels, restaurants, activities, and cultural attractions in Qatar, allowing them to explore the country at their leisure. We encourage visitors from all over the world to come and see our beautiful country and the best of the Middle East in one convenient location.”
Emerald Azzurra, a superyacht measuring 110 meters in length, can accommodate 100 people. A Sky Bar, observation deck and lounge, wellness area, infinity pool, and marina platform with many marine toys such as sea bobs and paddle boards are available to guests.
