Nestled in Quebec’s forests, the “Selenite” cabin by Montreal-based design studio NatureHumaine is a retreat crafted to embody relaxation and ecological harmony. Designed for a young couple, the cabin takes inspiration from selenite—a mineral symbolizing serenity—and offers a seamless blend of wellness and nature.

Design and Features:

  1. Architectural Inspiration:
    • A white cube design, echoing selenite’s crystal-like shape.
    • Sloping roofs and skylights offer natural light and sky views.
  2. Wellness Amenities:
    • Steam bath, sauna, cold bath, spa, and salt room.
    • Lighting synchronized with circadian rhythms.
    • Guided meditation available in every room.
  3. Eco-Friendly Materials:
    • Hemp wool insulation for sustainable living.
    • Non-toxic paints, stains, and finishes for optimal wellbeing.

Vision and Accessibility:

The Selenite cabin prioritizes accessibility, ensuring all visitors, including those with reduced mobility, can enjoy its peaceful environment. Designed as a sanctuary, it aligns ecological architecture with wellness, creating a retreat that redefines relaxation.
