Danish fashion brand Rains has unveiled its first complete homeware line, titled “HOME AWAY,” marking its expansion into lifestyle design. The launch brings together modular kitchenware crafted from brushed steel, offering durable, versatile essentials designed for both indoor and outdoor use.
Bridging Fashion and Function with Everyday Objects
The HOME AWAY collection features a curated set of kitchen staples, including tumblers, flasks, bowls, and lunch boxes. While simple in form, each piece reflects Rains’ signature clean aesthetic and practical mindset. According to the brand, every item is made from brushed steel—described as “all durable, nothing precious.”
“We had to find our point of view,” explained Rains co-founder Philip Lotko. “The answer was only ever going to be something modular and clean. Things you’d want to use indoors, outdoors, every day.”
The collection’s hybrid functionality aligns with a growing trend toward biophilic and flexible living. Rains drew conceptual inspiration from Biophilia by Edward O. Wilson, whose work in sociobiology highlighted the innate human affinity for nature. This influence is evident in the collection’s approach to adaptable, context-fluid design.
Launching Globally This August
Drop 01 of the HOME AWAY line will launch worldwide on August 12, 2025, through Rains’ official website and select retailers. By introducing these reimagined household items, Rains signals its intention to evolve from weatherwear innovator into a broader lifestyle brand.
With this homeware debut, the brand reinforces its commitment to minimalism, utility, and design-led living—on any terrain.
