Philadelphia-based design dealer Rarify has partnered with lighting studio Gantri to launch the Cube One Table Lamp. This is Rarify’s first original product and a showcase of their commitment to modular design and sustainability. The launch took place during NYCxDesign, where the duo revealed a lamp that merges collectible vintage hardware with cutting-edge lighting technology.
Repurposed Design Meets Eco-Friendly Materials
The Cube One Table Lamp combines genuine USM Haller Modular System parts with Gantri’s plant-based 3D-printed lighting units. These biodegradable components are crafted from sugarcane-derived polymer, reflecting Gantri’s sustainable production ethos. Although compact, the cube-shaped light is built for flexibility. It can be arranged as a single unit or scaled into towers and clusters, allowing users to create unique lighting configurations with ease.
This design respects the modular principles of USM while giving new life to vintage parts. At the same time, it reflects Rarify’s signature focus on 20th-century modernist aesthetics. Both partners view the collaboration as a symbol of timeless design, reimagined for today’s eco-conscious consumer.
Powered by Gantri’s New Manufacturing Platform
The Cube One is the first release developed under Gantri’s new platform, Gantri Made. This digital manufacturing system was created to simplify how lighting products are designed and scaled. According to Gantri, the goal is to offer designers faster production, lower costs, and a smaller environmental footprint.
To mark the debut, Rarify and Gantri held a special installation on May 14 during NYCxDesign. Curated by Matt Pecina of Studio Guapo, the display highlighted the lamp’s expandable forms and modular appeal.
Now Available for Pre-Order
The Cube One Table Lamp is now available for pre-order through Rarify’s official website. As interest in sustainable design grows, this release reflects a thoughtful blend of heritage, innovation, and conscious manufacturing.
