Actionflight Aviation, an aviation adventure tourism company, has partnered with Ras Al Khaimah International Airport to launch activities such as hot air balloon rides, skydiving, and aerobatic flight experiences, among others, as part of the programme.
Ras Al Khaimah International Airport will provide the airfield as the operating base for the adventures during the execution. “At first, we’ll provide an aerobatic experience with a Red Bull Air Race-style plane. According to Wayne Jack, COO and director of flight operations at Actionflight Aviation, “it will be a passenger aerobatic ride in one of the world’s most high-performance aerobatic aircraft,” adding, “Since these are very high-performance aerobatic aeroplanes, there will be a pilot plus a passenger.” Aerobatic aircraft are quite powerful and capable aircraft, so it’ll be a thrilling journey.”
Additionally, for the first time in Ras Al Khaimah, hot air balloon rides with a one-hour flight duration will be available. They operate two very large 450,000 cubic foot hot air balloons, each with a basket capacity of up to 24 passengers.
The hot air balloons will be picked up as balloon flights in the morning, as this is when they normally take off due to the lovely and tranquil weather. The drop zone for skydiving is in the airspace over Tower Links Golf Club.
