Luo Li Rong, pronounced “lolijon,” was born in 1980 in Hunan, China, and has established herself as a renowned sculptor. In 2005, she graduated with honors from the esteemed Beijing Central Academy of Fine Art (CAFA), having joined the Changsha Academy of Art in Hunan at 18. She spent five years at CAFA, studying under notable artists such as Sun Jia Guo in the ceramic section and Lu Pin Chang and Sun Jia Bo in the sculpture section.
During her time at CAFA, Luo Li Rong participated in numerous public sculpture projects, including installations for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games in Da Lian Park. Her graduation project received several prestigious awards, showcasing her exceptional talent and dedication.
For the past few years, Luo Li Rong has resided in Europe, where she has gained recognition for her art from international galleries and collectors since 2014. Her sculptures blend contemporary Chinese culture beautifully with a subtle and insightful understanding of the Western world.
