Snehal Pendurkar is a Mumbai-based artist and filmmaker. She has always enjoyed painting and aspired to be a professional artist. She received her education in Applied Arts, where she studied drawing and painting. She has always felt a strong connection to the natural world. She spent her childhood roaming around the lovely Coastal Rainforest. Nature’s beauty and enchantment, which she witnesses every minute of her existence, has captured her imagination and made her thankful to be here and see such a magnificent creation. She tries to relive the moment by painting this feeling in her works.
In the 1990s, she was enthralled by postcards as a child. She was enamored with them! Her paintings, she believes, are attempting to achieve a retro and vintage style. She believes that those enthralling postcards influenced her to establish her own style.
She has always been drawn to the rays of light that shine through the fog and haze, forming a beam of light and the particles that shine within it, which she considers divine and comforting to her spirit.
Snehal has always believed that art is a blessing and that it has the ability to heal. She considers herself fortunate to have been born with the capacity to paint and connect with so many great people all over the world and believes that, with the advancement of technology and humanity’s current state of well-being, we are living in the finest of times and should enjoy it.
