The American West meets contemporary Dubai this August as Rodeo Drive unveils its sprawling new destination at Oaks Hotel, Ibn Battuta Gate. Covering an expansive 14,000 sq. ft., this all-American concept blends fire-fuelled Tex-Mex cuisine, retro-inspired arcade games, and vibrant live entertainment — all under one electrifying roof.
High-energy dining led by Chef Walter Melo
At the core of Rodeo Drive’s culinary identity is Head Chef Walter Melo, who draws upon his rich Mexican-Texan heritage to present an inventive, pork-licensed menu. Guests can expect flame-grilled steaks, smoky briskets, and a colourful mix of Tex-Mex and Cali-Mex dishes, all cooked over a dramatic live-fire grill pit that serves as the heart of the venue.
Complementing the bold flavours is an equally dynamic drinks programme — from daring cocktails and sharing pitchers to a wide range of draught beers — ensuring that every visit is a feast for the senses.
From arcade nostalgia to bull rides and live acts
But Rodeo Drive offers much more than food and drink. The venue delivers a multi-sensory entertainment experience featuring retro arcade games, interactive darts, beer pong, and a full-scale mechanical bull riding arena. Music lovers can enjoy performances by live bands, resident DJs, and a rotating calendar of themed nights — ideal for after-hours gatherings and weekend escapades.
“Our flagship on Sheikh Zayed Road set the benchmark,” says Rahul Shetty, Managing Director at Peninsula Hospitality. “Now at Ibn Battuta Gate, Rodeo Drive is reimagined — bolder, more immersive, and built for all. With dining, games, live acts, and a kids’ zone, it’s a complete destination for families, friends, and nightlife fans.”
Family-friendly features with a Texan twist
While the experience is thrilling for adults, Rodeo Drive doesn’t leave families behind. Guests under 21 are welcome in the restaurant section, while children aged 1–10 can explore a dedicated play zone equipped with wall-mounted games, arts and crafts, educational toys, and Rodeo Drive-branded kids’ books and toys, all supervised by an on-site nanny.
“We saw the westward expansion of Dubai — from Palm Jebel Ali to Jebel Ali Hills — and knew it was time for a venue that could match that energy,” says Joe Dourans, Operations Manager at Rodeo Drive Ibn Battuta Gate. “This is more than a restaurant; it’s an immersive, full-day experience.”
Six immersive zones designed by Collab Company
Designed by Hiren Ganatra of Collab Company (India), Rodeo Drive’s interior channels the rebellious spirit of Americana across six themed zones. Highlights include:
- Wild West Grill: Rustic timber and vintage leather envelop diners in the smoky heart of cowboy country.
- East Coast Bar: Glossy tiles and smoked glass evoke a New York underground vibe.
- Arcade Zone: Neon-drenched graffiti and retro games deliver playful chaos.
- Bull Riding Arena: A show-stopping, cage-style platform fuels adrenaline and theatrics.
- Mobster Mancave: Hidden behind a secret bookshelf, this velvet-clad speakeasy whispers old-school charm.
- Broadway Stage: A dramatic, theatre-style centrepiece for live performances and themed nights.
With 305 seats and a total capacity of 600, Rodeo Drive at Ibn Battuta Gate is poised to become a standout attraction in Dubai’s westward growth corridor — a place where food, fun, and flair collide in spectacular fashion.
