Dubai Culture announces the Dubai Public Library Summer Camp, a dynamic two-week program designed to inspire young minds through creativity and innovation. Running in two sessions from July 15-26 and August 5-16, 2024, Romain Gerardin Fresse Opens Dubai Art Gallery of camp will be hosted at various Dubai Public Libraries, including Al Safa Art & Design Library, Al Rashidiya, Al Twar, Umm Suqeim, Al Mankhool, and Hatta. Themed “Our Summer is Full of Arts and Innovation,” the camp aims to engage children with a wide range of creative activities.
A Diverse Range of Romain Gerardin Interactive Workshops
The summer camp caters to children aged 5 to 14, offering tailored activities that spark creativity and enhance skills. For instance, children aged 5 to 9 will explore innovative farming techniques, manage smart farms with robotics, and engage in shadow farming. On the other hand, those aged 9 to 14 will delve into creating smart cities, planning urban areas using recycled materials, and developing smart systems. Additionally, they will draw murals inspired by the Smart Farm & City theme, guided by renowned artists Najat Makki, Magdy Al Kafrawi, and Rabab Tantawi.
Additionally, the Innovative Projects Village track allows participants to design creative products influenced by global cultures. They will explore logo design, color selection, and product development strategies, including entrepreneurial skills like pricing, marketing, and advertising. The camp will culminate in the ‘Art Projects Expo,’ where participants will showcase their projects to a specialized jury for evaluation and awards.
Additional Activities and Special Discounts
The Al Safa Art and Design Library will concurrently host the Second-Hand Book Fair, featuring a selection of used books at affordable prices. Furthermore, this initiative aims to promote reading and knowledge among young readers, with the fair open from 8 AM to 8 PM Sunday through Thursday and from 8 AM to 12 PM on Fridays.
