sacai has reopened its Beijing flagship at Taikoo Li Sanlitun, marking a key step in its global retail expansion. The space has been expanded to include a new basement level, offering visitors more room to explore the brand’s collections. The reopening features an exclusive design collaboration with Willo Perron of Perron Studios, translating sacai’s hybrid aesthetic into an innovative retail environment.
Architectural Innovation Meets Hybrid Ethos
Perron’s design transforms ordinary building elements into luxury retail features, reflecting sacai’s signature fusion approach. The front facade, inspired by cinder blocks, scales and rotates simple shapes to create a pleated surface that flows seamlessly into the interior. Inside, everyday materials like glass and aluminum are repurposed as display racks and shelving, blending utility with elegance. This deliberate recontextualization ensures the architecture itself mirrors the complexity and creativity of the clothing it houses.
Exclusive Capsule and Early Collection Release
To celebrate the reopening, sacai launched an exclusive capsule collection, including a standout hybrid piece that merges a denim jacket with an MA-1 bomber silhouette. Additionally, select items from the Women’s Spring/Summer 2026 collection are available for early release. Perron’s philosophy of giving new purpose to ordinary objects enhances the retail experience, allowing the store to serve as both a showcase and an extension of sacai’s design vision.
