His Highness Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in Al Ain Region, visited the 23rd Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition (ADIHEX), which continues to bring traditional Emirati pursuits together with modern technologies and ideas.
Held under the theme “A Legacy of Pride,” the exhibition is organised by ADNEC Group in partnership with the Emirates Falconers’ Club. The event is taking place at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi until September 6, 2026.
During his visit, Sheikh Hazza toured a selection of national and international pavilions, where he viewed products, technologies, and new initiatives spanning hunting, equestrianism, and falconry.
He also explored projects focused on environmental protection and cultural heritage preservation, reflecting the exhibition’s broader effort to connect traditional practices with contemporary developments.
Supporting Traditional Sports Through Innovation
Representatives from participating organisations briefed Sheikh Hazza on projects and technologies aimed at supporting the hunting, equestrian, and falconry sectors.
The initiatives showcased at ADIHEX demonstrate how new solutions can be introduced without losing sight of the traditions and cultural significance associated with these activities in Emirati society.
Sheikh Hazza highlighted the exhibition’s role in preserving the UAE’s national heritage and keeping it connected to everyday life. He linked these efforts to the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, particularly in relation to strengthening national identity and passing Emirati values and traditions to future generations.
He also praised ADIHEX’s growth and the scale of participation in this year’s edition, noting the work of organisers and exhibitors in creating an event where cultural heritage sits alongside innovation.
ADIHEX Records Its Largest Edition
The 2026 edition is the largest in ADIHEX’s history since the exhibition was launched in 2003, in both size and participation.
The event covers 107,000 square metres and features 2,405 exhibitors and brands from 71 countries.
The exhibitors are spread across 15 sectors, including hunting, equestrianism, falconry, camels, salukis, handicrafts, environmental conservation, and cultural heritage, as well as other fields related to the exhibition.
Sheikh Hazza was accompanied during the visit by His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Undersecretary of the Ruler’s Representative Court in Al Ain Region; Sheikh Zayed bin Mansoor bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan; Sheikh Zayed bin Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan; Her Excellency Dr Fatima Al Kaabi, Chairperson of the UAE Biotech Research Center; His Excellency Humaid Matar Al Dhaheri, Managing Director and Group CEO of ADNEC Group; His Excellency Obaid Khalfan Al Mazrouei, Acting Director-General of Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority; and several other officials.
With its combination of heritage, specialist sectors, and new technology, ADIHEX continues to provide a platform for showcasing traditional Emirati pursuits while exploring how they can evolve in a changing environment.
