Sneaker Politics has reunited with adidas for a fresh interpretation of the Adistar HRMY, and the collaboration carries a strong sense of place. Since the design draws inspiration from Louisiana’s Gulf Coast, the pair highlights the region’s fishing culture and the striking appearance of the Red Snapper. The theme emerges clearly through the vivid tones, and the result offers a lively and distinctive presentation.
A Coastal Theme Expressed Through Color and Detail
The bright red shades of the fish appear across the sneaker, and they create an eye catching finish when blended with semi translucent layers. The mesh and nubuck construction also works with synthetic overlays and the signature sole unit that features REPETITOR cushioning. Furthermore, the reflective strip on the heel cap nods to the shine of fish scales. The Three Stripes resemble gills and bones, so the concept remains cohesive throughout the design. Additional details include a market style tag on the tongue and artwork on the sockliner that showcases the skeleton and scales of the Red Snapper.
