SOAR and Altra have teamed up to launch a high-performance trail racing collection, blending apparel innovation with footwear engineering. This capsule was tested by elite athletes and is described as “engineered for speed, protection, comfort, and control.” It’s built to withstand the challenges of long-distance racing across heat, hills, and tough terrain.
At the centre of the collection is the revamped Mont Blanc Carbon trail shoe. It features a full-length carbon plate for propulsion, a dual-density midsole, and a Vibram outsole for superior grip. The “Prism” colourway integrates white with bold accent colours, while co-branding elements reflect the partnership.
Functional Apparel for Rugged Conditions
Beyond footwear, the collection introduces a full suite of gear. The Trail Race Top is designed with UPF 50 protection across the shoulders and arms, lightweight mesh in the torso, and abrasion-resistant panels for added durability. A matching ultralight cap supports breathability under race-day pressure.
Completing the range, the Trail Race Shorts utilise RHEON—a reactive NASA-developed superpolymer that stiffens to absorb impact and relaxes for comfort. The shorts are designed without a waistband and include built-in storage, prioritising freedom of movement and convenience.

The SOAR x Altra collection is available now via SOAR, Altra, and select specialty retailers. Prices start at $65 USD for the Printed Run Cap, while the Trail Race Top is priced at $200 USD and the Trail Race Shorts at $285 USD. The Mont Blanc Carbon trail shoes are available for $260 USD.
