French street artist Invader is set to create his first-ever pool artwork at the upcoming Ray Nashville building in Tennessee, marking the artist’s debut in the city.
Artwork Details
- The rooftop pool will feature Invader’s iconic Space Invader-like figures inlaid across the floor.
- A blue-hued frieze of retro-inspired characters will line the rim of the pool, allowing residents to immerse themselves in the art.
- Renderings showcase a playful fusion of fine art, architecture, and design integrated into everyday living.
Invader, born Franck Slama, has left his 8-bit imprint across 79 cities in 20 countries over the last two decades, including collaborations with Damien Hirst and Shepard Fairey in his ongoing show, Triple Trouble.
Ray Nashville: A Creative Hub
In addition to Invader’s commission, Ray Nashville will feature works by local artists across its amenity spaces, positioning the building as a center for Nashville’s creative community.
The residential project, located in the Pie Town neighborhood, is scheduled to open in early 2027.
