Studio Libeskind has revealed Fan d’Issy, an innovative mixed-use development set to transform Issy-les-Moulineaux. Designed with La Compagnie de Phalsbourg, the project will include offices, a hotel, retail spaces, a sports hall, and residential units. Notably, one-third of the housing will be dedicated to social housing.
With its bold geometric form and lush green walls, Fan d’Issy will stand as a key feature of the evolving ZAC Léon Blum eco-district. Construction will begin once the adjacent Issy station, part of the new Grand Paris Express metro Line 15, is complete.
Libeskind Merging Architecture with Nature
The development will consist of two interconnected buildings linked by a bridge. Its facade, covered in a reflective titanium-enriched ceramic coating, enhances both aesthetics and environmental performance.
Green balconies, tree-lined rooftops, and vertical gardens will bring nature into the urban space. These features aim to improve air quality, promote biodiversity, and create a more welcoming environment for residents and visitors.

Studio Libeskind designed Fan d’Issy to elevate the neighborhood with its dynamic, sculptural presence. By blending architecture with sustainability, the project will serve as a model for future developments.
This project joins the firm’s growing portfolio of socially driven architecture, including a senior social housing complex in Brooklyn and the planned transformation of a former Auschwitz commandant’s house into an anti-extremism center.
