Although Valentine’s Day has passed, Sundae School continues to explore the “boundless dimensions of love within the Asian American experience.” After introducing its rebellion-driven Fall/Winter 2024 collection, “Resilience,” the Dae Lim-led label is now embracing a softer perspective for Spring/Summer 2025 with “Amor Fati.”
Derived from Latin, “Amor Fati” translates to “loving one’s fate.” This philosophy guides the Korean-American brand’s latest collection, which builds on its signature silhouettes while encouraging wearers to reflect on love’s lasting presence. Whether through family, friendship, romance, or self-discovery, the collection invites individuals to embrace love in all its forms.
Blending Tradition with Contemporary Style
Staying true to its cultural roots, Sundae School continues to reimagine traditional hanbok silhouettes. This season, button-down shirts feature a curved buttoning detail, while heavyweight zip-up hoodies, sweatpants, and shorts add a sense of laid-back luxury.
At the heart of the collection is the brand’s iconic mochi flower motif. Symbolizing resilience, growth, and love, the delicate floral design appears as intricate embroidery and bold graphics across several pieces. According to the brand, “Every garment in SS25 is meticulously crafted to embody comfort and emotional resonance, enveloping the wearer like a warm embrace.”
