London-based studio Holloway Li and Turkish design label Uma have introduced a new version of their well-known T4 Sofa, now upholstered in red PVC fabric. This latest update results from a collaboration with accessories brand CAHU, which contributed its signature wipe-clean material, commonly used in its tote bags.

The sofa’s bold red upholstery contrasts with its off-white fiberglass shell in the “Cream Soda” shade, creating a striking visual appeal. More importantly, this combination makes the piece suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.
A Design Rooted in Nostalgia
Since its debut in 2022, the T4 chair has gained recognition as a future design classic. Inspired by 1990s memorabilia, including lava lamps and inflatable chairs, the piece features a distinctive form crafted from materials often used in the automotive industry. Initially, the sofa was available in four shades—Melon Yellow, Blush Pink, Overground Orange, and Cream Soda. In 2023, Holloway Li expanded the line with a glossy black edition, aptly named “Liquorice,” which premiered at Milan Design Week.
Following the success of this latest collaboration, Uma and Holloway Li plan to introduce additional variations of the modular seating system. New configurations will include two-seater options and fresh color pairings, such as Dark Plum with Light Pink and Liquorice Black with Cream Soda.
Debuting at Matter & Shape in Paris
The latest T4 Sofa will officially launch at Matter & Shape, an upcoming design event in Paris opening on March 7. Visitors will experience the collection in an immersive installation, featuring dramatic red walls and flooring that complement the sofa’s bold aesthetic.
Through this collaboration, Holloway Li and Uma continue to push the boundaries of furniture design, blending nostalgia with modern functionality.
