The coolest festival, “Sole DXB” is all set to hit the streets again in December 2022

Sole DXB, Dubai’s coolest festival, will return to the streets this December. The weekend will include live music, DJ sets, discussions, workshops, film screenings, and shopping and will take place at an undisclosed location in Dubai from Friday, December 9 to Sunday, December 11.

Due to the cancellation of the event in 2020 and 2021, this will be the first edition of Sole DXB since 2019. For the creative community in the city, this means the countdown to December has begun.

The three-day celebration, which began in 2011, is one of Dubai’s oldest. The event began as a sneaker summit,’ and has now evolved into a celebration of fashion, music, art, and the city’s subversive creative culture.

The festival has previously hosted major bands such as Wu-Tang Clan, Nas, Stormzy, and Skepta. Over the course of three nights, 36,000 people attended the previous event, which featured 100 acts and 80 businesses.

Hussain Moloobhoy, Joshua Cox, Kris Balerite, and Rajat Malhotra, four Dubai residents, established Sole in 2010. A year later, at Al Quoz, the first Sole DXB event took place, before shifting to Dubai Design District in 2014.

The artists, location, and other information for the 2022 edition have yet to be revealed, but music, streetwear, and culture fans should mark their calendars now.
