In a celebration of creativity and self-expression, a vibrant art exhibition titled “The Creator Heart” has taken centre stage in Casablanca. Featuring the works of 19 diverse artists, the exhibition is a colourful tapestry of emotions, thoughts, and unique perspectives conveyed through the language of colour.
For the participating artists, “The Creator Heart” is more than just a showcase; it is an opportunity to open a dialogue with the world, allowing their work to speak volumes about their innermost feelings and experiences.
Mounia Wafi, one of the contributing artists, spoke passionately about her creative process, stating, “I painted with so much love and emotion.” Drawing parallels between different forms of artistic expression, she highlighted how artists communicate their emotions through the medium of colour, much like writers and musicians express themselves through words and musical notes.
The exhibition features a diverse range of artworks, with each artist contributing at least four pieces that showcase a variety of techniques and materials. The canvases come alive with a symphony of colours, employing acrylics, oil paints, and even unconventional materials like cement.
Abdelkader Ammor, an artist participating in the exhibition, chose a thought-provoking theme for his works. Using the data moshing visual effect, Ammor delves into the impact of artificial intelligence on contemporary society. He explores the concept of a “hyper-society” shaped by the influence of social media and attempts to capture the essence of artificial intelligence through his art.
“I tried to bring hyper art to a hyper-society by trying to present a portrait of artificial intelligence,” explained Ammor, shedding light on the inspiration behind his creations.
Visitors to the exhibition have been captivated by the diversity of styles and techniques employed by the artists. Jacque Nougaro, an artist visiting from France, expressed admiration for the talent on display, stating, “There are artists who are self-taught and others who are trained in fine arts who are really very talented.”
The exhibition, which opened its doors in December, will run until January 20, offering art enthusiasts and the general public ample time to immerse themselves in the world of “The Creator Heart.” The event serves not only as a testament to the richness of Morocco’s contemporary art scene but also as a platform for artists to connect with a wider audience, fostering a deeper appreciation for the power of colour and creativity.
As “The Creator Heart” continues to illuminate Casablanca with its vivid palette, it stands as a testament to the universal language of art, transcending boundaries and bringing people together through shared emotions and visual narratives.
