In line with His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum’s vision of empowering People of Determination and transforming Dubai into an ideal city for them, Dubai Culture and Arts Authority (Dubai Culture) today signed a memorandum of understanding with Dubai Club for People of Determination to consolidate the strategic partnership between the two parties towards enhancing the happiness.
The Memorandum of Understanding also aims to establish a culture of participation in community projects in order to improve the services given to them.
Hala Badri, Director General of Dubai Culture, and Thani Juma Berregad, Chairman of the Dubai Club for People of Determination, signed the Memorandum of Understanding.
Mansoor Lootah, CEO of the Operations Support Sector; Dr Saeed Mubarak Bin Kharbash, CEO of the Arts and Literature Sector; Muna Faisal Algurg, CEO of the Culture and Heritage Sector; Marwan Naqi, Director of the Strategy and Corporate Excellence Department; and Shaima Rashid Al Suwaidi, Director of the Marketing and Corporate Communications Department, all from Dubai Culture, were present at the signing. Members of the Dubai Club for People of Determination, including Majid Al-Usami, Executive Director of the Dubai Club for People of Determination, were present during the signing.
The Memorandum of Understanding was signed at the Dubai Club for People of Determination, and it aims to build frameworks of cooperation between the two parties in a number of cultural, artistic, creative, and heritage programmes that are aimed at People of Determination.
The MoU will also put in place a plan to improve People of Determination’s experience at Dubai Culture’s cultural venues. Cultural and artistic programmes and seminars for PoDs linked with the club will be delivered voluntarily by individuals who have earned a cultural visa as part of this agreement.
Dubai Culture also hopes to benefit from the knowledge of the Dubai Club for People of Determination in reviewing its facilities in conformity with the approved People of Determination standards through this collaboration. The Authority also wants to offer specialised training and qualification workshops for its employees on how to interact with People of Determination, as well as sign language classes.
The club’s Executive Director finished by noting that the governments’ triumphs in all fields are the consequence of the UAE’s wise leadership’s strong support in helping them achieve their goals.
