Mumbai being chosen as the location of the Elephanta Festival from February 13–15. The Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC) organized the cultural festival to promote tourism and culture in Mumbai.

The Elephanta Festival is a fantastic chance to see the Elephanta Caves, which are a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Elephanta Island, which is one of the top sites in India, is about an hour’s drive from Mumbai.

The Elephanta Festival exhibits a variety of Indian classical dance and music styles. This event is a fantastic option for individuals who prefer travels that are culturally diverse. Imagine turning the entire island of Elephanta into a theater. Large, intricately carved pillars serve as an excellent backdrop, exhibiting.

Plays, sketches, classical dances, live music, folk performances (song and dance), folk performances by the people from the fishing community (Koli), and instrumental and vocal recitals are just a few of the breathtaking performances that festival attendees may look forward to. These performances will all happen outside, in the open air. The festival has a free admission policy.

The ferry ride to Elephanta Island takes an hour. The first ferry departs from the Gateway of India around nine in the morning. You won’t miss a ferry because there is one every 30 minutes. At 2:00 PM, the final ferry to Elephanta Island departs.
