The region’s first Nikon creative hub inside a school, designed to support content production and creative discovery for its pupils, was today opened by Repton School Dubai in conjunction with Nikon, the global leader in digital imaging cameras, precision optics, and photo imaging technology. The one-of-a-kind centre will investigate photography, videography, and other applications in an effort to sharpen pupils’ creative abilities.
There is a podcast area, an unpacking station, an isometric drawing station, and a green screen in the Nikon-designated area on the Nad Al Sheba campus. The cutting-edge area is furnished with lights, backdrops, and Nikon cameras to create a special environment where students may practice and hone their creative abilities. The senior leadership team at Nikon, which included Narendra Menon, Managing Director of Nikon Middle East, John Young, General Manager for Marketing at Nikon Asia, and Jessica Fong, Manager at Nikon Singapore, officially opened the Nikon creative centre, which can accommodate 15 students at once. The first female wildlife photographer from the Emirati nation, Suaad Al Suwaidi, also attended the opening ceremony.
In addition, the creative area includes a cutting-edge Innovation Lab that provides students with access to the most recent technology, including cutting-edge Apple iMacs outfitted with industry-recognized Adobe suites for editing videos, adding visual effects, creating animations, and editing photos.
The opening of the first unique Nikon Creator Zone with Repton is a privilege for Nikon, said Narendra Menon, managing director of Nikon Middle East. We are thrilled to be a part of the content creation journey of Repton students since they have such incredible ability. At Nikon, we believe in developing talents and providing them with the tools they need to succeed. With the creative hub, we seek to empower the Repton students.
Repton Dubai will provide students with a variety of fascinating educational activities by Nikon as part of its ongoing partnership with the company. Hosting instructional events conducted by Nikon is one of them. Additionally, the Nad Al Sheba campus will organize an inter-house photography contest, with judges from Nikon serving on the panel. Additionally, the Outstanding-rated school will conduct a Nikon Kidz Club Workshop that is free and available to all kids in the greater Dubai community. In the upcoming months, Repton Dubai will organise customised masterclasses and workshops for parents and kids at the Nikon creative centre for the larger Dubai community with the goal of enhancing creative talents across the school eco-system.
