The London Wireless Festival will make its debut in Abu Dhabi in March 2023. The well-known rap and urban music festival, which made its debut in London in 2005, will move to Abu Dhabi on March 4, according to James Craven, president of Live Nation MENA, who made the announcement on Thursday during a kickoff event modeled as a TV talk show.
More than 200 different nationalities are represented in the United Arab Emirates, so it’s critical to continuously monitor how people’s musical preferences are changing to reflect this diversity, he said. Hip hop continues to be one of the most well-liked genres in the area, and the inauguration of Wireless Festival in Abu Dhabi in March will be a major draw for fans of urban music there.
The festival will feature some of the top international hip-hop acts while also giving local artists a platform, he said, declining to name the performers who would perform at the festival.
The Abu Dhabi Department of Culture and Tourism unveiled its schedule of events for the winter season of 2022–2023 during the press conference.
Blippi: The Musical is another inaugural event in the area. On February 18 and 19, the well-known children’s entertainer and educator will perform a live musical show at the Etihad Arena for kids and families.
The new Abu Dhabi calendar spans 180 days and includes events like opera and dance performances, opera and international artist concerts, sporting and e-sports activity, immersive cultural festivals, and live interactive family entertainment.
