With her distinctive black and white lines, artist Shantell Martin has forged intriguing and lucrative partnerships that spotlight both her own work and that of the companies she adores. With her signature pen, Shantell created super-fun items for her most recent collaboration, Shantell x HOEK, including wall art, coffee tables, and coasters, to decorate any eco-friendly house.

Identity, relationships, and play are topics that Shantell explores in her art. The environmentally friendly housing firm HOEK wants to encourage people to consider how they use space, how much they consume, and the materials they select by partnering with Shantell.

“This cooperation, on which we have been working for some time, is something we are thrilled to showcase. A huge thank you to the HOEK team for helping to bring some of those ideas to life and ultimately end up in people’s homes. Experimenting with new ideas is always so much fun and rewarding. Martin, Shantell

From tiny handheld components to room-sized installations, HOEK has created a small collection of works that are sure to bring joy and encourage people to use their surroundings more imaginatively.

We can establish a structure for future artists to regularly collaborate with HOEK using our work with Shantell as a springboard. Our equipment, workshop, and knowledge of materials and manufacturing were all expertly used in Shantell’s artwork. We want to advance the innovation in the furniture sector and help other young artists find a platform. – Co-Founder and CEO Conor Coghlan.
