The UAE debuts an all-new bobsled experience at Jebel Jais in Ras Al Khaimah, the UAE’s highest peak. The region’s longest toboggan ride, Jais Sledder, is located at the new adventure destination, which opened on February 16.
The high-octane eight-minute trip will accommodate two passengers, one in the front and the other in the rear, with the thrill of the ride set against the gorgeous mountain background of the UAE. Unlike other bobsledding experiences that involve snow in other regions of the world, this one involves a lot more sand than snow. Adventure seekers will be subjected to breathtaking hairpin curves along the way, reaching speeds of up to 40 kilometers per hour, when they board the ride.
The attraction is open from 9 am to 5.30 pm, Tuesday to Sunday.
The trip, which can be enjoyed alone or in tandem with another person, is priced at Dhs40 for one adult and Dhs60 for one adult and child. Riders must be at least three years old, and youngsters under the age of eight (or under 1.35m tall) must be accompanied by an older person in a two-seater sled.
Aside from the thrilling ride, visitors may also enjoy the Jebel Jais Flight, the world’s longest zip-line, and the Jais Ropes Course, an obstacle maze experience.
