The tenth edition of the Middle East Film & Comic Con which is returning to the UAE has also declared a change in the dates of the event to be in line with the new UAE weekend and working week. The event which was initially going to take place from March 3 to 5, 2022 will now take place from March 4 to 6, with the Saturday and Sunday weekend across the UAE.
Organised by Informa and held with the support of the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi), not just the dates of the event have been changed, the change of venue was also declared previously. Instead of Dubai, the event will now take place at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC). The price of three-day event tickets starts at Dhs115 for a one-day pass. The early bird three-day pass costs Dhs 210, with a saving offer of Dhs70 and ends on December 31.
The VIP early bird tickets are priced at Dhs375 and include one free meet-and-greet photograph or autograph voucher, fast-track entry into the event, plus, fast-track lines in the Meet the Stars Zone and MEFCC Theatre. The VIP ticket holders will also get one-hour exclusive access on Friday before doors open to all at 2 PM. There is another section of the ticket—Super VIP, whose ticket details will be announced in 2022.
As the dates for the event are near, names of celebrity guests have been dropping and Nathalie Emmanuel is one of them. The star of Fast & Furious and Game of Thrones will also be attending the highly-anticipated event in the capital and will be participating in a meet-and-greet too. While there are a couple of months left, organisers are yet to reveal the full line-up and said will announce it over the coming months, to keep the excitement going.
