Volvo has introduced the ES90, a fully electric luxury sedan built to evolve through continuous software updates. Set for its official debut on March 5, 2025, the ES90 enhances safety, connectivity, and performance with advanced AI-driven technology.

Cutting-Edge Technology and Performance
The ES90 runs on Volvo’s Superset tech stack, featuring a dual NVIDIA DRIVE AGX Orin system. This powerful setup delivers 508 trillion operations per second, supporting AI-powered safety, battery optimization, and real-time sensor integration. The deep learning models will expand from 40 million to 200 million parameters, ensuring continuous improvements.
Innovation Through the SPA2 Platform
Built on Volvo’s SPA2 platform, the ES90 benefits from seamless over-the-air updates. These upgrades enhance connectivity, improve battery efficiency, and introduce new safety features. Owners will experience ongoing advancements throughout the car’s lifespan.
Advanced Safety with Intelligent Sensors
Volvo prioritizes safety with its Safe Space Technology. The ES90 includes lidar, five radars, eight cameras, and 12 ultrasonic sensors. These tools detect obstacles in low-visibility conditions and activate proactive safety measures.
“The Volvo ES90 is among the most advanced cars today,” said Anders Bell, Volvo’s Chief Engineering and Technology Officer. “It combines safety with continuous innovation through our Superset tech stack.”
With AI-driven features and a focus on constant improvement, the ES90 sets a new standard for intelligent electric mobility.
