XLIM’s EP. 8 collection, titled After the Bloom, represents a more mature, minimalist approach from the South Korean streetwear label. Following the vibrant hues of EP. 7, designer Dohee Kim strips back excess, focusing on refined silhouettes, subtle detailing, and a muted colour palette.
A Mature, Thoughtful Aesthetic
Central to the collection is the interplay between structure and minimalism. Outerwear pieces feature pre-aged black leather coats and blank back patches, evoking a deconstructed aesthetic reminiscent of Martin Margiela. Accents of colour are restrained—a peach-gradient jacket and pants, and an aqua headscarf—while black-and-white ensembles highlight shape, layering, and thoughtful construction. Heavy layering dominates all-black looks, combining knitwear, hooded denim, puffers, gloves, and headscarves for a cohesive, textural effect. The lightweight Detroit jacket innovates with down padding blending leather and cotton, merging comfort with urban sophistication.
Availability
The first drop of EP. 8 is now available at the Hyundai Seoul XLIM Store and on the XLIM website. The second release is scheduled for September 27, 2025.
After the Bloom signals XLIM’s evolution toward a measured, detail-oriented style, balancing streetwear roots with mature, contemporary refinement.
