First revealed on the runway at Paris Fashion Week in January, the long-anticipated collaboration between Y-3 and NEIGHBORHOOD has finally arrived. This bold project, officially titled “Y-3 NEIGHBORHOOD,” takes heavy inspiration from moto culture, merging performance design with rebellious street flair. The campaign will culminate in a global launch through adidas on October 25.
A Fusion of Icons and Motifs
Longtime creative partners Yohji Yamamoto and Shinsuke Takizawa have reunited to craft a daring new range that bridges fashion and motorcycle aesthetics. The collection begins with leather racer jackets and pants, produced in Europe by Dainese, and adorned with distinctive co-branding that celebrates both designers’ avant-garde sensibilities.
Throughout the lineup, the Y-3-N insignia takes center stage, symbolizing the fusion of Yamamoto, NEIGHBORHOOD, and adidas into one unified identity. This same emblem appears across a custom motorcycle by Cherryscompany and a series of one-of-one moto helmets designed by David Gwyther (Death Spray Custom). The artist also contributed graphic motifs—featuring a scorpion, frog, and moth—which are translated into striking t-shirt designs.
Footwear and Launch Details
The collaboration’s footwear highlight, the Y-3 NBHD Nizzastar Lo, merges the Nizza and Superstar silhouettes to create a design that feels both familiar and innovative. Although the custom motorcycle and helmets will remain exclusive showpieces, the complete apparel and sneaker range will be available worldwide via adidas on October 25.
