Kim Rose is a minimalist artist based in Los Angeles, California. Her work lies at the intersection of the physical world and our intangible perceptions. She combines old and modern techniques to create works that are multi-dimensional and layered in waves of fluid movement. Each of her works exudes life and vitality while keeping a minimalist aesthetic. Kim’s work pushes the boundaries of realism and questions abstract lawlessness.
Materials of the highest quality, some of the rich materials used in Kim’s art include 24k gold, marble, and, soon, diamonds. Each item is a multi-layered work that combines chemical reactions with painting. Painting is a multi-layer procedure that gives these artworks a polished and multifaceted appearance. As a result, they tend to reflect the warmth and colors of the room in which they reside.
Her marbled art has sold and been collected all over the world. Her heart and soul are invested not only in art but also in discovering the deeper meaning of how art may benefit the larger good. She believes that anyone can be an artist and that every artist must figure out “why” they do what they do. This is what gives life meaning and vigor.
She is ecstatic to have collaborated with artists from all around the world to make a difference in the lives of children in Tijuana, Mexico. Her particular aim is to raise finances and awareness for the lovely children of Tijuana, Mexico, through exquisite art. As a result, she launched Mission Marisol, a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing artists together for a good cause. The initiative is dedicated to her mother, Marisol, who encouraged her to pursue her passions and give back.
“When I started selling art around the globe, I realized that my art could potentially have a huge impact. I wanted to use fine art as a way to give voice to a movement much bigger than myself, and I knew that it could have an even larger impact when joined together with other artists. That is when I came up with the idea of using fine art as a way of raising funds and awareness for kids in Mexico.” says Kim.
