Timex is reissuing its pioneering SSQ model, the brand’s first-ever LCD digital watch, originally launched in 1975. The reissue celebrates the rise of quartz and digital timepieces in the 1970s, faithfully recreating the SSQ’s minimalist and futuristic design.
A Faithful Recreation of a 1975 Classic
The SSQ Digital Reissue preserves the original’s streamlined aesthetic. Key features include:
- Stainless steel case with brushed and polished finishes
- Blue acrylic dial mask showcasing the SSQ model name and Timex branding
- Always-on LCD display, simple date function, and 60-second counter
- Two pusher buttons replace the traditional crown for easy operation
- Matching stainless steel bracelet

Release Details
The SSQ Digital Reissue will launch in Japan on October 17, 2025, priced at ¥28,600 JPY (~$190 USD). A wider international release is planned, with the date to be announced.
