Ressence has introduced the TYPE 1° Round Rose Gold (T1° RG), a limited-edition model that brings a new level of warmth to its well-known crownless silhouette. The timepiece debuts at Dubai Watch Week 2025, and it highlights the brand’s first use of 4N rose-gold plating. Founder Benoît Mintiens explains that this edition adds “soul” to the TYPE 1°, a model that has remained popular since its launch in 2014. The dial carries a sunray finish, while the case ring and bezel feature a sandblasted texture. Additionally, the guilloché-finished discs introduce a refined layer of visual depth.
Technical Features With Contemporary Appeal
At the center of the new model sits the patented ROCS 1.3 (Ressence Orbital Convex System) module, which is driven by the minute axle of a customized 2892 base caliber. Instead of relying on traditional hands, the system uses revolving discs that display the hours, seconds, and day of the week. As a result, the watch offers a bi-dimensional reading that feels both fluid and modern. The rose-gold dial brings a copper-toned glow, and the contrast is enhanced by silver subdials and crisp white minute markers. Moreover, the engraved indications filled with Grade A Super-LumiNova® increase clarity in low light. The model comes with a light gray suede strap, while the U.S. market also receives a dark chocolate leather strap for a more classic pairing.
Release Timing and Availability
Limited to 70 pieces, the TYPE 1° RG reaches collectors on November 19, 2025. It will be offered globally at a price of 18,150 CHF (approximately $22,836 USD). Because of the combination of warm finishes, innovative mechanics, and a familiar design language, the release aims to appeal to collectors who appreciate both elegance and engineering.
