To mark the start of its 50th anniversary celebrations, BEAMS JAPAN has partnered with Tailer Toyo on an exclusive Godzilla Embroidered Sukajan Jacket. Through this collaboration, the two brands combine heritage craftsmanship with globally recognized cinematic iconography. As a result, the release positions itself as both a collector’s item and a statement of long-term brand value.
Design and Craftsmanship
At the center of the design is a black velvet body that functions as a detailed embroidery canvas. On the front, Godzilla appears in direct confrontation with Mechagodzilla, while the sleeves feature the three-headed King Ghidorah. Meanwhile, the back presents a more expansive scene, with Rodan and Mothra flying above Mount Fuji and Hedorah depicted below. In addition to its visual complexity, the jacket adopts a slightly looser, modern silhouette. Moreover, a fully reversible construction allows the piece to flip to a clean, plain black lining, extending its versatility beyond novelty wear.
Pricing and Release
From a commercial perspective, the Tailor Toyo x BEAMS JAPAN Godzilla Sukajan Jacket is priced at ¥90,200, or approximately $580. The release is scheduled for January 2, 2026, via BEAMS’s official website. Consequently, the jacket serves as an early flagship product for the brand’s anniversary year, aligning heritage storytelling with premium positioning.
