The Mohammed bin Rashid Library has unveiled an extensive June programme that places arts, culture, education, and community engagement at the centre of its public offering. Developed in support of the UAE’s Year of the Family initiative, the programme reinforces the library’s role as a multidisciplinary cultural platform while creating opportunities for learning, creative expression, and social connection.
Throughout the month, visitors will encounter a broad calendar of talks, workshops, literary events, and artistic activities designed to engage diverse audiences. At the same time, the programme highlights how cultural institutions increasingly function as spaces where knowledge, creativity, and community participation intersect.
Arts, Learning and Creative Development
A strong emphasis on contemporary learning runs through the June agenda. Among the featured events is “Artificial Intelligence Made Simple,” presented as part of the library’s Business Library activities. The session aims to provide accessible insights into AI technologies and their growing influence on professional and everyday environments.
Meanwhile, the programme also addresses personal growth and wellbeing through discussions focused on confidence-building and psychological resilience. These sessions examine ways to support children while strengthening essential social and emotional skills.

On the creative front, the library will host a theatrical acting workshop for beginners in collaboration with Dubai National Theatre. Through practical training and performance-based exercises, the workshop introduces participants to the foundations of stage acting and dramatic expression.
Additionally, the library will mark World Music Day with an interactive public event featuring performances by musicians of different ages and backgrounds. As a result, the celebration extends the institution’s cultural reach beyond literature into the performing arts, encouraging broader community participation.
Literature, Community and Cultural Engagement
Literary programming remains a key component of the June schedule. A dedicated evening titled “Emiratis in the Booker Prize” will explore the growing visibility of Emirati writers within international literary conversations. Consequently, the event highlights the evolving relationship between local storytelling and global publishing platforms.
The programme also includes a community-focused initiative centred on preparedness and crisis management. By combining practical knowledge with public engagement, the event reflects the library’s broader commitment to social awareness and civic participation.

Furthermore, the library will launch the “With your Words, the Flame Tree Blossoms” campaign, which promotes environmental awareness through community involvement. The initiative aligns with directives issued by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum regarding the Flame Tree season and encourages residents to engage with sustainability through creative and cultural activities.
Taken together, the June programme demonstrates how the Mohammed bin Rashid Library continues to evolve beyond its traditional role. Instead, it positions itself as a dynamic cultural destination where literature, performing arts, education, and community dialogue converge, reflecting broader developments across the UAE’s cultural landscape.
