The Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships will return in 2027 with another two-week programme of elite tennis. The tournament is scheduled for February 14 to 27, 2027, at the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Stadium in Dubai. The official tournament website currently lists these dates and the venue for the 2027 edition.
The championships traditionally combine a WTA 1000 women’s tournament with an ATP 500 men’s event. Therefore, Dubai will again host two major professional competitions during its annual tennis fortnight. The women’s event has held WTA 1000 status since 2023, while the men’s competition remains an ATP 500 tournament.
Major venue upgrades planned for 2027
The 2027 edition will also mark a major step in the redevelopment of the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Stadium. Organisers announced a two-phase expansion in February 2026. Consequently, the second phase will deliver permanent improvements ahead of the 2027 championships.
Most importantly, Centre Court capacity will increase by approximately 50 percent. The expansion will add around 2,500 seats, while upgraded concourses, seating areas, and hospitality facilities will improve the spectator experience.
Furthermore, the tournament plans a redesigned Northern and Southern Fan Village. These areas will include activation spaces, shaded seating, and expanded food and beverage facilities. As a result, visitors can expect a broader experience around the tennis action.
Strong tennis lineup expected
The championships have consistently attracted leading players from both tours. For 2027, however, the final player fields and detailed match schedule have not yet been fully announced. Therefore, specific player appearances should not be treated as confirmed.
The official website has already created a 2027 event section and lists the February dates. Meanwhile, its current schedule page still displays detailed 2026 timings, indicating that the 2027 session schedule remains subject to publication.
