His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, recently visited the 16th Abu Dhabi Art fair at Manarat Al Saadiyat. Organized by the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi), this renowned event runs until 24 November 2024, serving as a beacon for cultural and artistic engagement.
Sheikh Khaled lauded the fair’s pivotal role in elevating Abu Dhabi’s position as a leading global destination for artistic exchange. “The event nurtures emerging talent and fosters creativity, bringing diverse perspectives together to enrich the emirate’s artistic landscape,” he said during the visit.
This year’s edition boasts participation from 102 galleries representing 31 countries, with over 1,500 artworks on display. The program features an array of panel discussions, workshops, performances, and interactive installations, providing opportunities for dialogue among leading global figures in art and culture. These engagements underscore the importance of collaboration in shaping future art trends and nurturing creative innovation.
Sheikh Khaled was joined by prominent officials, including Mohamed Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of DCT Abu Dhabi; Saif Saeed Ghobash, Secretary General of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council; Rita Aoun, Executive Director of Culture at DCT Abu Dhabi; and Dyala Nusseibeh, Director of Abu Dhabi Art. Their discussions emphasized the shared vision of advancing Abu Dhabi’s cultural prominence through world-class initiatives.
