Tiffany & Co. and contemporary artist Daniel Arsham have unveiled their latest collaboration: the Bronze Eroded Penny Vessel alongside a limited-edition HardWear necklace. This marks another bold step in their ongoing creative partnership, blending fine art with luxury craftsmanship.
Following the success of earlier collaborations, this new release continues their shared exploration of historical icons and modern design. The sculpture reimagines a humble penny as an ancient artefact, while the hidden treasure within an exclusive Tiffany HardWear necklace highlights the brand’s signature elegance.
Aged Bronze Meets Gemstone Precision
At the centre of the release is the Bronze Eroded Penny Vessel, a handcrafted sculpture produced at Arsham Studio in New York. Drawing inspiration from Arsham’s 2013 Study of the Eroded Penny and Tiffany’s 1885 redesign of the Great Seal of the United States, the work features the artist’s hallmark “eroded” aesthetic. Embedded with polished crystals that burst through a dark patina, the sculpture captures the tension between permanence and decay.
Only 39 pieces of this vessel have been made, reinforcing its exclusivity. The deliberate erosion, contrasted with shimmering crystals, invites viewers to reflect on the passage of time and the transformation of everyday objects into relics of luxury.
Hidden Within: A High-Jewellery Statement
Each sculpture conceals a remarkable surprise, a Tiffany & Arsham Studio HardWear necklace. Based on a 1962 design from the brand’s archive, the piece has been reimagined in 18k white gold and encrusted with over 1,000 diamonds (totalling more than six carats) and 500 tsavorites (over three carats).
Tsavorites, introduced by Tiffany in 1974, bring a vibrant green hue that subtly echoes both the oxidised tones of the vessel and Arsham’s visual identity. This connection strengthens the artistic narrative between the sculpture and the jewellery it protects.
The set arrives in a Tiffany Blue art-handling crate, complete with a matching box and dual-branded white gloves, underlining its dual nature as fine art and collectible jewellery. According to both Tiffany & Co. and Arsham Studio, this limited-edition piece is a symbol of luck, artistry, and enduring value.
