Acura is bringing a piece of cinematic history to Monterey Car Week with the one-off NSX Roadster from The Avengers. Making its first public appearance in over a decade, the “Stark 33”-plated supercar will be showcased at The Quail on August 15 as part of Acura’s celebration of the 35th anniversary of the original NSX.
Built for the Silver Screen
Originally created for the 2012 blockbuster, the roadster was hand-crafted by the Acura Design Studio under then–Creative Director Dave Marek, using a first-gen NSX as the foundation. The build took cues from the second-gen NSX Concept, featuring a resin and fiberglass body, lowered suspension, 18-inch wheels and aftermarket seats — all grafted onto a well-driven 1991 NSX with 252,000 miles.
What’s Next for “Stark 33”
Acura plans to auction the car for charity in 2026, with early interest sign-ups starting during Monterey Car Week. Alongside the roadster, Acura will showcase NSX icons, including a 1995 NSX-R, a 1999 Zanardi Edition, and the all-new RSX Prototype, previewing the brand’s next-gen all-electric performance SUV.
